Indian Gold Jewelry Demand Still Weak

According to a report by the Economic Times, demand for jewelry gold in India is still weak now that the wedding season is over.
"There is less demand as prices are really volatile, some stagnation is coming," said a dealer with a state-run bullion importing bank in Mumbai.
The situation was helped somewhat by a weakening rupee.

  1. Traditionally, jewelry has always been linked with wealth, power and status. Talking about the significance of jewelry in the life of women in India, they are gifted jewelry in different phases of life such as, at birth, at coming of age, in marriage, on becoming a mother, etc. Thanks.
