"There are lot of deals. There are 50-60 deals pending at my table," said a dealer with a state-run bank in Mumbai.The festival is this Friday, and wedding season will continue afterwards. The World Gold Council has estimated that demand will rise during this year's festival.

Indian Physical Gold Demand Rises With Price Drop
According to a Reuters India report, traders bought more gold as Akshaya Tritiya comes up because the price dropped.
