Consumer Sentiment Up For February

The University of Michigan's Consumer Sentiment Index rose from January's 74.2 to 75.1. Expectations were for 75.0.

The gold market might have liked the result, as gold had risen at the time of the release and had continued climbing right afterwards, but no real benefit accrued from it; the metal slumped at 10:30 and lost all the gains from 9:50 before rebounding somewhat.
